Welcome to the Awards

Come one, come all! This is the first Mogulville Academy Awards! Now is the call for film submissions to be considered for nomination for the Awards.

Here are the categories:

Best Picture (Comedy and Drama)
Best Director
Best Actor/Actress (one category only here)
Best ORIGINAL Soundtrack (Music, use of sound effects)
Best Special Effects - CGI
Best Special Effects - Practical
Best Screenplay (writing, story)
Best Cinematography
Best Editing

You do NOT have to submit your films to a specific category. Your submitted films will be eligible for nomination in ALL categories. Following the nominations there will be a final ballot to pick the winners of each category. 4 nominees will be chosen for each category..

What are the prizes? A trophy will be made for each category and sent to the winning film. Also, some grand prizes will be awarded.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURES:

Please send films that you would like to be considered in the 2009 Mogulville Academy Awards to this email: awardsIM@gmail.com

Upload your film to a popular video site such as Youtube, Vimeo, Veoh, and et cetera.

Submissions open TODAY Febuary 2nd 2009 and close Febuary 16th 2009. When submitting please include the title of the film, a short synopsis, and any interesting facts you’d like to be known about shooting.

RULES/FAQ:

Films submitted must have been made in the year 2008. Any films made in any other year will NOT be considered.

Submissions cannot contain copyright music.

There is no limit on how many films can be submitted.

Films can be of any length.

Composers please include track lists with your submitted films.
